TOKYO: Japanese company Kyocera has launched a blood sugar detecting smartwatch that can identify the amount of sugar without obtaining blood.
The device is designed for people who are pre-diabetic. The patients who are diabetic need a drop of blood to test the amount of sugar which is collected by hitting the needle on the finger and applying a special bandage to determine the amount of sugar.
The new technology will quantify blood sugar using artificial intelligence and will be introduced at the Consumer Electronic Show 2020.
This device is would not serve patients who are already diabetic because such people need to know the amount of blood sugar regularly.
Diabetes is a disease that occurs when your blood glucose, also called blood sugar, is too high.
