TV actor Francisco San Martin, best known for his portrayal of Dario Hernandez on “Days of Our Lives”, passed away on January 16 at the age of 39.
Reports indicate that police discovered his body at his Los Angeles home on Thursday. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has said that his death is believed to be a suicide, according to Hollywood LA News.
Tributes have been pouring in from his co-stars, including Camila Banus, who portrayed his on-screen sister Gabi. Banus shared an emotional message on Instagram: “Pepe, what can I say but I love you and rest in peace, my friend. Love you mucho mucho mucho. I wish I had told you more.”
Although San Martin was born in Spain, he moved to Montana, United States, during his childhood.
San Martin began his acting career in children’s theatre before transitioning into modeling. He spent years honing his craft as a teenager and eventually landed his big break on Days of Our Lives, appearing in several episodes between 2010 and 2011.
