The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested a terrorist who belongs to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) during an operation in Karachi, media reported on Friday.
As per the report, the arrested outlaw was identified as Dahan alias Asif Chikna, and the security forces have recovered weapons from him.
The CTD officials have said that Chikna, who has been arrested from within the jurisdiction of Saeedaad police station, used to provide facilities to the BLA terrorists in Karachi, and previously too had remained in prison in connection with incidents of murder and attempted murder.
They have further said that a team has been dispatched to the Hub for the arrest of the BLA terrorists’ accomplices.
The officials have said that Chikna is being interrogated.
It should be noted that BLA is active in terrorism in Balochistan and targeting both the security forces and civilians with the help of alleged foreign funding from the enemy countries.
