ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the first priority of the government.
According to the details, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal while talking to the Nong Rong. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan in Islamabad said that CPEC is the first priority of the federal government and that the ML1 project is its main initiative.
During the meeting with the Chinese Ambassador, Ahsan Iqbal said that the companies should be nominated soon for the ML1 project. The government is giving special attention to the construction of tourism infrastructure at Gwadar port.

The minister said that the work on the transmission line to supply electricity to Gwadar is in full swing. Chinese Ambassador Ahsan Iqbal agreed to promote Pakistan-China bilateral trade cooperation.
It may be noted that earlier Pakistan and China agreed to speed up work on CPEC projects including 4 new corridors and various sectors. Last month, the Chinese government agreed to intensify practical cooperation with Pakistan on CPEC projects. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to China was successful in which CPEC was discussed.
