LAHORE: Renowned designer Maria B has announced to make a thousand masks every day as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The designer will produce over one million masks in the meantime and distribute them among the people. The brand in this regard issued a statement that stated the outlet will be distributing cotton-based masks to the public.
The statement added, “The Maria B brand has always helped Pakistan and its people to move forward. We are also working with the government and other organizations against Coronavirus.” It further added, “Yes, whether it is sharing rations among the needy, or working on education. We appeal to the people to work together for one another so that we can become a nation.”
The designer also stated that her team is also working with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and providing them with hand sanitizers, masks, gloves, etc. while taking precautionary measures against the coronavirus.
The number of coronavirus patients in Pakistan has increased to 8,418 after 425 new infections were reported during the last 24 hours.
