The federal minister said that they had set a minimum target of 40 percent of the population aged above 18 being partially vaccinated by the end of August for 24 major cities. “Out of these 20 met the target. Only cities to miss the target were Hyderabad, Mardan, Nowshera, and Quetta,” he said.
Giving a province-wise breakup, he said aid 69 percent population in Islamabad has received vaccine dose, 51 percent in Azad Kashmir, 39 percent in Gilgit Baltistan, 37 percent in Punjab, 35 percent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 32 percent in Sindh, and 12 percent in Balochistan. He said that single-day vaccination crossed 1.5 million mark for the first time yesterday.
vaccination targets set for 24 large cities by end September . Partial vaccination 60% & full vaccination 40% of eligible population. These are tough targets, specially for full vaccination but achievable with a focused effort and high quality execution inshallah
