KARACHI: Additional District and Sessions Judge Sharqi has rejected the request to change the investigating officer in the Dua Zehra kidnapping case.
The court rejected the petition filed by Mehdi Kazmi. In this regard, the Judicial Magistrate said that no decision has been taken yet on the challan submitted by the police.
The court said that even if the challan of the case is accepted, the petitioner has the right to appeal. The court remarked that the dispute over Dua Zehra’s age was still pending with the medical board.
On the other hand, the Anti-Violent Crime Cell took Dua Zehra into custody as a special team took her from Lahore to Karachi for a medical checkup to determine her age.

According to the police, the prayer will be presented before the medical board today. Dua’s husband Zaheer Ahmed has reached Karachi on his own, but according to the police, her husband will not be allowed to go to the medical board.
