ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad Tuesday adjourned the proceeding to indict PTI leader Shahbaz Gill in sedition case.
As per details, the additional sessions judge Tahir Abbas heard the petition case against the PTI leader.
The public prosecutor informed the court that he is prepared to present arguments on both petitions today, but Gill’s attorney argued that identifying the suspects is necessary for a fair trial.
“We do not know who the further seven or eight suspects are,” He said, “I want the list of those suspects, so I know who they are.”
The two suspects are appearing in court, the prosecutor retorted. The prosecutor informed the court that these two are the only suspects.
Gill’s attorney then formally requested a hearing postponement from the court. The court then postponed the hearing till December 3.
Earlier, a district and Sessions court of Islamabad had rejected the post-arrest bail petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill in a sedition case.
It is important to note that Shahbaz Gill was the subject of a case that was opened at the Kohsar police station in Islamabad. He was charged with dividing the government organization.
