The global death toll from the coronavirus pandemic has surged 5,000 today (Friday) as 100 countries around the world battle desperately to contain its deadly spread.
According to international news agency, a total of 3,176 people have died in China, followed by 1,016 in Italy and 514 in Iran. These are the three countries with highest number of deaths.
The COVID-19 has quickly spread to 127 countries and has already infected nearly 135,000 people around the world.
Several countries stepped up plans in a desperate attempt to limit the spread of the deadly disease. Major sports events in the world have been suspended.
In this regard, United States has suspended flights from European Union, whereas, other countries have also suspended travels with other countries.
