ISLAMABAD: The coronavirus infections in the federal capital are constantly increasing, while no actions have been taken by the district administration yet.
According to details, the district administration has also completely failed to implement precautionary measures to prevent the novel coronavirus in government offices.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, the Pakistan Television Union has convened a general body meeting, while the Islamabad administration has remained a silent spectator. Sources informed that about 30,000 to 40,000 people will participate in the meeting.
The deadly virus is already out of control at Pakistan Television headquarters. Several offices, including the head office, have already been sealed to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
Some of the employees had also tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the state-owned channel. The issue needs to be addressed immediately and an advisory should be issued in this regard.
The federal capital has so far recorded more than 10,900 COVID-19 infections. Pakistan has reported more than 182,000 coronavirus cases.
