Coronavirus: Govt bans Friday prayers in mosques across country

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has banned Friday prayers in mosques across the country to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
As per reports, Friday prayers are have not been banned completely. Only four to five people can pray at a time and only healthy persons are allowed to go to the mosques.
Moreover, the Sindh government also placed a ban in the province from today till 5th April and only five people will be allowed to visit mosques. Meanwhile, the Balochistan government also imposed a ban till 4th April to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Earlier today, scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani urged the people to follow the Sindh directions of the government to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
While talking about the steps taken against the disease, Mufti Taqi Usmani said that he would ask companions to comply with the directions of the Sindh government over banning the Friday prayers.
