Coronavirus death toll hits 975,400 worldwide

WASHINGTON: The coronavirus has claimed 975,471 lives worldwide and infected 31,777,987.

Around the world, 234,94,845 people were infected with Corona and the number of active cases has come down to 747,671.

The United States ranks first among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 205,471 people succumbed to death and more than 7,097,937 being diagnosed with the virus.

India ranks second in the world in terms of corona cases where the total number of corona cases has exceeded 5.64 million. The total number of deaths from corona in India has risen to 90,021.

Brazil is the third most affected country in the world, with 4,595,000 people affected and 138,159 deaths.  

Russia ranks fourth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with more than 1,115,000 people infected with the coronavirus and a total death toll of 19,649.

Colombia is the fifth most affected country by the Coronavirus, with 24,570 deaths and more than 777,000 reported cases.

In Peru, more than 776,000 people have been affected, while 31,586 people have lost their lives.

The death toll from Corona in South Africa has risen to 16,181, with more than 682,000 people affected. In Mexico, more than 750,000 people were affected and 74,348 died.
