KARACHI: Two more people have died of the global coronavirus in Pakistan, bringing the total number of deaths to 28,909.
According to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 301 more coronavirus cases have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours. The total number of virus cases in the country has reached 1,293,715.
According to the NCOC, 44,129 coronavirus tests were performed across the country in the last 24 hours, with a positive case rate of 0.68 percent. The number of cases of coronavirus in Sindh is 480,710, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 181,235, in Punjab 444,610, in Islamabad 108,450, in Balochistan 33,624, in Azad Kashmir 34,657 and in Gilgit In Baltistan it has become 10,429.

The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus is in Punjab where 13,064 people have lost their lives while 7,662 in Sindh, 5,922 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 966 in Islamabad, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 363 in Balochistan, and 746 in Azad Kashmir have lost their lives.
