ISLAMABAD: At least 301 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan while 6 more people have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,290,214 people were infected with coronavirus across the country, while 28,849 people lost their lives to the virus.
During the last 24 hours, 42,895 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 2,26,89,025. Across the country, the coronavirus test result was 0.70 percent while the condition of 704 patients is critical.
During the last 24 hours, coronavirus was defeated by 136 people across the country, bringing the total number of healthy people to 1,251,914. The death toll remains at 2.2 percent. The highest number of coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh while deaths were reported in Punjab. In Punjab, 444,032 people fell victim to the virus while 13,053 died. In Sindh, 478,564 cases of coronavirus and 7,640 deaths were reported.
In different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 180,825 people fell victim to coronavirus while 5,900 died. In Balochistan, 33,540 cases of the virus were reported and 363 people lost their lives.
In Azad Kashmir, 34,627 people were infected with coronavirus and 744 died. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,428 cases were reported while 186 people died. In Islamabad, 1,88,198 cases and 963 deaths were reported.
