ISLAMABAD: Around 55 more people have died in Pakistan due to the coronavirus, while another 1,974 people have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, the total number of deaths from coronavirus in the country has reached 9,929 while the total number of infected people has reached 473,309. In Pakistan, 423,892 coronavirus patients have recovered and 39,488 are undergoing treatment.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 3,921 people lost their lives while 3,491 in Sindh, 1,609 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 407 in Islamabad, 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 182 in Balochistan, and In Azad Kashmir, 218 people have lost their lives.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 37,272, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 57,467, in Sindh 211,276, in Punjab 136,147, in Balochistan 18,082, in Azad Kashmir 8,215 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4 8,850 people have been infected with the virus.

The rate of positive cases across the country has reached 5.57 percent. Hyderabad has the highest rate of coronavirus positive cases at 6.83 percent. Coronavirus positive cases rate in Karachi is 13.56 percent, in Rawalpindi 5.74 percent, in Azad Jammu and Kashmir 11.54 percent, in Balochistan 7.69 percent, in Gilgit-Baltistan 1.07 percent, and in Islamabad 3.81 percent.
