ISLAMABAD: The global epidemic coronavirus has claimed 40 more lives in Pakistan and the total death toll has risen to 10,598.
According to the National Command and Control Center, 2,007 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in 24 hours and the total number of affected people has reached 499,517. In the country, 455,445 people from coronavirus have recovered and the number of active patients is 33,474.
In Punjab 4,242 people lost their lives while 3,679 died in Sindh, 1,718 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 436 in Islamabad, 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 187 in Balochistan, and 235 in Azad Kashmir.

The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 38,970, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 60,751, Sindh 224,004, Punjab 144,111, Balochistan 18,351, Azad Kashmir 8,451 and Gilgit-Baltistan 4,879 people have been affected by a coronavirus.
The National Institutes of Health has confirmed a new strain of coronavirus in Pakistan. According to the National Institutes of Health, a new strain of coronavirus was found in two Pakistanis. Both returned home from the UK.
