KARACHI: In Pakistan, 2,208 new cases of coronavirus have been reported and the total number of infected people has reached 363,380.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, there have been 37 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from coronavirus to 7,230.
In Pakistan, 325,788 cases of coronavirus have been cured. The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad has risen to 24,871, while the total number of deaths has risen to 263 after the deaths of three more people. In Islamabad, 3,900 coronavirus patients are being treated.
In Azad Kashmir, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 5,640 while 1,362 patients are undergoing treatment. The total number of deaths due to coronavirus in Azad Kashmir is 131.
The number of coronavirus patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 42,815 and 1,318 people have lost their lives. There have been 157,432 coronavirus cases in Sindh, while the total number of deaths in Sindh has reached 2,760 after the death of nine more people.

The number of patients undergoing treatment in Sindh has reached 11,020. There are 111,626 coronavirus cases in Punjab and the total number of deaths has reached 2,509 after the death of 17 more people.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 16,529 people were affected and the total number of deaths in Balochistan was 156. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 4,467 cases of coronavirus and 93 deaths have been reported.
The second wave of coronavirus has started in Pakistan. To deal with the second wave, SOPs will have to be strictly adhered to. According to the NCOC, coronavirus is spreading in 15 cities across the country. Eighty percent of coronavirus cases in Pakistan were reported from eleven major cities.
Provincial governments have been directed to make SOPs and masks mandatory in markets, shopping malls, public transport, restaurants.
Citizens are advised to wear masks when leaving their homes. Masks will be required for those working in government and private sector offices.
