KARACHI: Sindh government Spokesman Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Friday confirmed that the number of COVID-19 patients in the province has jumped to 1,214.
On a social media website, Murtaza Wahab said the province has conducted overall 12,209 tests so far to detect coronavirus out of which 358 have recovered their health. He said the death toll due to COVID-19 in the Sindh stands at 22.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre’s latest statistics, the confirmed COVD-19 cases in Pakistan on Friday reached 4,601, As many as 284 new cases of the disease were reported across the country during last 24 hours.
So far 467 patients have recovered from the deadly virus, whereas the death toll has surged to 66. Four more patients died yesterday due to novel COVID-19 related complications while 31 people said to be in critical condition across the country.
According to latest statistics, the worldwide number of officially confirmed fatalities from the novel COVID-19 now stands at above 90,000.
More than 1.5 million declared cases have been reported in 212 countries and territories since the pandemic first emerged in China in December 2019.
