ISLAMABAD: Special Judge Central Islamabad has issued a detailed decision on the bail application of PTI leader Azam Swati in the controversial tweet case.
Special Judge Central Azam Khan issued a six-page detailed verdict in which it has been said that Azam Swati campaigned against state institutions through a verified Twitter account, and tried to incite rebellion against the officers of the Pakistan Army, Azam Swati. He posted a number of tweets based on rebellion against the state institutions, he incited the people against the institutions.

The judgment said that the PTI leader’s tweet against the officers of the Pakistan Army was retweeted by many people. The judgment further stated that earlier Azam Swati was booked for making statements against state institutions, he repeatedly tweeted against the official of the state institution from his Twitter account, and Azam Swati repeated the same offence. Therefore, their application is dismissed as bailable.
It should be noted that Azam Swati tweeted against a senior officer of the Pakistan Army on November 26, which was retweeted by various Twitter accounts. Azam Swati also thanked other accounts for retweeting this tweet. A case under section 20 of PECA has been registered earlier for tweeting against institutions, Azam Swati was granted bail on October 21 in the first case.
