ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to present the award to Constable Jamil Ahmed Kalhoro, who saved the life of a boy who fell from a train.
PM Imran Khan said in a statement on Twitter that Constable Jamil Kalhoro would be given the award on March 23.

In his tweet, the Prime Minister also shared a verse from Surah Al-Maidah of the Holy Quran. It may be recalled that Constable Jamil Kalhoro had saved the life of the person who fell from the train. PM Imran Khan had also shared a video praising the return of the constable.
Sharing the video, Imran Khan had said that this is the place where the duty of sanctity is accompanied. Imran Khan said that the determination shown by this young soldier in serving the people is commendable.
It may be recalled that a young man who was going to attend the Ashura procession in Khairpur on Thursday fell between a track and a platform under a train full of passengers. Meanwhile, a policeman on the platform pulled the young man in time before he got under the train.
Other people on the platform also rushed to the spot and gave medical aid to the youth. The police constable who rescued the citizen from being hit by the train released his video statement.

Jamil Ahmed Kalhoro, the policeman who rescued the person who fell from the train, said in a video message that he is a police constable in the Khairpur district and his duty was at the railway station on 8th Muharram. The SSP had summoned him to the headquarters before duty.
Constable Jamil said that the SSP said that it was his duty to protect the lives and property of the people. The incident took place while he was on duty in the light of his instructions.
according to him, he saw a man fall from the train and was about to come under the train before anything could happen, he ran and pulled him out. On the other hand, PM Imran Khan decided to give national honor to Constable Jamal Kalhoro on Pakistan Day on March 23.
