KARACHI: The confirmed infections of coronavirus in Pakistan have surged past 11,500 as new cases were reported in several areas of the country.
According to the national dashboard, almost 414 cases were reported across the country. However, the national death toll reached 244.

Sindh today (Friday) reported 274 new cases of the coronavirus, taking the provincial tally to 3,945.
In this regard, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced that the evening Taraweeh prayers during Ramazan will be restricted to 3-5 persons and the rest of the people will have to offer the prayers at home.
Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid has informed that almost 84 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in the province, taking the provincial tally to 4,851.
The Balochistan health department has reported two new deaths related to coronavirus. The total number of deaths in the province is now 10. The province has also reported 49 new cases of COVID-19 and two more recoveries. The total number of cases in Balochistan reached 656.
The health department of Gilgit-Baltistan has informed that 07 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the region, taking the region’s tally to 300.
