Famous writer and director Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, who is known for his anti-feminist statements, has said he is strongly against co-education.
Lately, the controversial writer appeared in the show ‘Had Kardi’ where he talked about the education system. Talking about it, he said he is strongly against it. According to him, co-education is the biggest harm to society and society will see the aftereffects of co-education soon.
He also talked about how men are using women for their benefit. “If a guy is not marrying at the right age, it means he has the accessibility to many female friends (who are easily approachable ), all this harm is happening to women, they should keep their honor intact.”
Did you know Khalil ur Rehman isn’t in favour of his wife befriending divorced women?
He added, “Women should give a shut-up call to the boys who try to exploit them by saying, ‘let’s be friends’, it is wrong, if the girls decide to stop becoming accessible to men, it will benefit the society and themselves.”
During the show, Qamar also addressed the false claims of famous actresses about rejecting his scripts. He said, “One such case happened earlier when Sonya Hussyn said that she was offered ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’, that too after the drama became a phenomenal hit.
The writer continued that later when she met with him at a success party, he asked, ‘Did you say that Mere Paas Tum Ho was offered to you?’, to which she agreed. “I called Nadeem Baig and Humayun Saeed who also admitted that they offered Sonya Hussyn for the role. I told Sonya, ‘If they offered you my script, you were honoured but I still didn’t want you to be in the role’.”
He added, “Also, it doesn’t mean that she is not a good actress, I didn’t write it for her, there is no arrogance in that.” Talking about art in his movies, Qamaar said that he never promotes vulgarity in his movies and the director has to convince him of the bold dress worn by an actress.Â
