LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar will discuss a 17-point agenda in a provincial cabinet meeting today.
The chief minister who will chair the meeting would be briefed on the current situation and security measures. In this regard, provincial ministers, advisers, assistants, and special chiefs will attend the meeting.
On the other hand, the lockdown has been launched across Punjab, which prohibits public transport and double rides. However, medical, grocery stores, bakeries and vegetable shops will remain open. In Punjab, markets, shopping malls, restaurants are closed and public gatherings are banned.
Earlier on Monday, the Punjab government announced to close all industrial units in the province to control the spread of the coronavirus.
According to a notification issued by the provincial’s government, all industries units in the province have been closed for an indefinite period, while the food and medicine manufacturing units will not be closed.
The Punjab government has earlier imposed section 144 while police have apprehended 447 people for violating government orders.
