Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the establishment of 13 more Sasta Bazaars across the province.
These Bazaars will be established in Nowshera Warkan, Burewala, Kabirwala, Sangla, Jalalpur, Bahawalpur, Attock, and Murree. The deadline for the completion of ongoing projects for these Sasta Bazaars has been set for August.
CM Maryam directed the district administration to allocate land for the Sasta Bazaars. The markets will also be transitioned to solar energy, which is expected to reduce electricity costs by up to 70%, and this saving will be passed on to the public in the form of lower prices.
Funds exceeding 690 million rupees have been approved for the transition of the Sasta Bazaars to solar energy.
The aim of this project is to provide affordable food items to the lower and middle classes, and the CM emphasized that, under the vision of her father, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, efforts are being made to eliminate inflation.
It should be noted that the first female Chief Minister in the history of Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz, has launched dozens of public-friendly schemes in the province during the last year, and the opponents are also compelled to admire her high performance as a chief minister.
