Citizen abducted after being tricked by ‘female voice’ on phone

KARACHI: A citizen of the metropolis area of Orangi Town, was kidnapped on Saturday after abductors fooled him over the phone in Karachi.

As per details, the abductors claimed to be a woman on the other end of the phone and mimicked a female voice to lure the innocent person in.

The man was called to Sindh’s district of Kashmore and was later taken prisoner. The Additional Inspector General (AIG) Sukkur stated that abductors were demanding a ransom for the man’s release.

After the ransom was paid off, the man has since been released by his hostages, the abductors walk free to this day.

Earlier on January 11, Sindh Police recovered three minor boys who were abducted in the Mominabad section of the port city and detained three perpetrators behind their kidnapping.

Law enforcement officials said they had received information of three children in the Mominabad region a few days back missing one after the other.
