Netflix has given fans their first glimpse of Cillian Murphy returning as Tommy Shelby in the highly anticipated “Peaky Blinders” movie. This film will continue the story of the beloved British series, which thrilled audiences with its gritty depiction of post-World War I Birmingham gangsters.
Although the BBC drama wrapped up its six-season run in April 2022, Tommy Shelby’s story is far from over.
The movie adaptation, which began filming earlier this year, will see Murphy reprise his iconic role. Netflix UK and Ireland recently shared a photo of the film’s script on Instagram, with the caption: “Big news: A Peaky Blinders film is coming to Netflix. Looks like Tommy Shelby wasn’t done with me… Thrilled to be working with Steven Knight and Tom Harper again on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This one’s for the fans.”
