Dead bodies of a young boy and girl were recovered yesterday from the seashore near China Port in the Clifton area of Karachi. According to local police, after identification, they were identified as Sajid Masih and Sana Asif, residents of Gujranwala.
According to the police, both victims belonged to the village of Budha Goraya near the district of Gujranwala in Punjab. Sajid Masih, who belonged to the Christian community, had a love marriage two weeks ago with 17-year-old Sana Asif, daughter of Muhammad Asif.
According to local residents, both youths had run away from their homes and come to Karachi, where they had started living. The victim girl’s family had lodged a kidnapping case on July 15 at the Tatlay Aali police station.
No legal action was taken, but a few days later, on July 28, their dead bodies were found in the coastal area of Karachi, and they had been brutally murdered.
Two 9mm pistol shells were also recovered from the scene. Police officials said the murder took place in a deserted location, about one kilometer away from the road, where it is not possible to go by car.
It is suspected that the killers took the couple to that spot either by motorcycle or on foot and murdered them there, or they may have been targeted after being followed to that location.
