LAHORE: Former Punjab information minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan has warned that arrests will be made and cases may be registered if Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) violates COVID-19 SOPs.
Talking to a private channel, Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said that he is a political activist and not a critic, everyone understands his intentions. Chohan added that the PDM would not get anything out of the rally.
The provincial minister also demanded that the PDM leadership, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Maryam Nawaz, undergo a coronavirus test. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had postponed all the meetings due to the spread of coronavirus but the PDM had shown irresponsibility.
Chohan added that the condition of SOPs and coronavirus test is mandatory in the private ceremonies of the opposition but look at their attitude towards the people. The former information minister further added that the pressure on hospitals was increasing due to the second wave of coronavirus.
Former Punjab information minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan maintained that the ongoing battle to deal with coronavirus was tougher than the war of 1971.

Earlier he had said that Prime Minister Imran Khan repeatedly announced the government’s policy of not recognizing Israel as a state. Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said that the government is not doing any politics on the release on parole of PML-N leaders Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz.
The provincial minister said that showing immoral politics on this issue does not improve a party like PML-N, every possible facility will be provided to Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz inside and outside the jail, he asserted.
