BYD is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated plug-in hybrid electric pickup truck, the BYD Shark 6.
The company recently teased the upcoming vehicle on Instagram with the caption “COMING SOON,” accompanied by a dynamic action shot of the pickup.
The BYD Shark 6 is a dual-cab pickup that seamlessly blends rugged performance with hybrid efficiency. It is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine working in tandem with dual electric motors, delivering an impressive 321kW of power and 650Nm of torque.
The vehicle offers an all-electric range of up to 85 kilometers, while its combined range on a full tank and charge extends to 800 kilometers. Moreover, the Shark 6 accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.7 seconds, boasts a towing capacity of 2,500 kilograms, and supports a payload of 790 kilograms.
The Shark 6 made a notable appearance during the Opening Ceremony of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), highlighting its growing presence in the Pakistani market.

Furthermore, BYD Pakistan recently partnered with the PSL’s 10th edition as its official mobility partner.
The partnership was celebrated at a signing ceremony held at the BYD Experience Center in Lahore, marking a landmark collaboration between Pakistan’s premier cricket league and the world’s leading manufacturer of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs).
