According to details, in Chaman, a border city of Balochistan, chicken meat has become more expensive. Over the past week, the price of chicken has increased by 200 to 250 rupees per kilogram. Chicken meat, which was being sold at 550 to 600 rupees per kilogram, is now being sold at 800 rupees per kilogram.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, there was a significant increase in chicken prices. Five days ago, the price of chicken per kilogram in Peshawar increased by 65 rupees within a week, with the official rate for live chicken rising from 420 to 485 rupees.
On May 15, the price of live broiler chicken in Lahore increased by 3 rupees, while the price of eggs per dozen rose by 1 rupee. The wholesale rate of live broiler chicken in Lahore was set at 397 rupees per kilogram, and the retail rate at 411 rupees. The price of eggs per dozen was set at 281 rupees.
Before that, on May 14, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken in Lahore was 394 rupees, while the retail rate was 408 rupees. The price of eggs was 280 rupees per dozen. In Multan, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken was 398 rupees per kilogram, while the retail rate was set at 412 rupees. Eggs were being sold at 281 rupees per dozen.
