MANDI BAHAUDDIN: A gang has been arrested in Mandi Bahauddin for stealing chicken eggs worth millions of rupees.
Police arrested four suspects and also seized Rs1 million in cash and eight cars from their possession as well. According to police, the suspects stopped vans leaving poultry farms early in the morning.
DPO Syed Ali Raza said the gangsters were present on the route of the vehicles and then stop them at gunpoint. The men tied up the drivers and then threw them in the field and fled with the vans and the eggs.
He said the suspects have committed similar crimes in Sargodha, Gujrat, Jhelum and other parts of Punjab. The criminals have confessed to their crimes during initial interrogation.
A case has been registered and further investigations are underway. DPO Raza said that the valuables seized will be returned to their rightful owners.
