As per the rates issued by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association(ASSJA) on Thursday, the gold and silver prices in the Pakistani market are as follows:
- Per tola of 24-karat gold: Rs 241,000
- 10 grams of 24-karat gold: Rs 206,619
- 10 grams of 22-karat gold: Rs 189,400
- Per tola of silver: Rs 2,850
- 10 grams of silver: Rs 2,443
The price of gold in the international market decreased on Thursday by $9, from $2,313 to $2,304, the association reported.
It should be noted that the association releases the rates every day between 12 PM to 3 PM. The above-mentioned rates will remain in effect until new rates are issued by the association this afternoon.
It is also worth noting that rates may vary slightly in different cities of the country. Moreover, in the case of jewelry, goldsmiths also charge for the cost of making and designing the ornaments, which causes differences in rates between different cities and even different markets within a city.
