The Legend of Maula Jatt is an upcoming Pakistani Punjabi language action drama.
The movie has been directed and written by Bilal Lashari and produced by Ammara Hikmat and Dr. Asad Jamil Khan.
It is a reboot of the 1979 cult classic Maula Jatt. The film will star Fawad Khan as the titular character with Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan and Humaima Malik.
The film has been described as the most expensive Pakistani film to date. A modern take and retelling on the legendary rivalry, a local hero named Maula Jatt (Khan) takes on a leader of a brutal gang, Noori Natt (Abbasi).
