LAHORE: An accountability court has granted a permanent exemption to former premier Nawaz Sharif in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills on the medical grounds.
AC Judge Amjad Nazir pronounced the decision. Nawaz Sharif has been staying in London since November 2019 for the medical treatments.
He was earlier granted immunity by the accountability court for 14 days in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
On 29th October 2019, he was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court on medical grounds in Al-Azizia case for eight weeks. He along with his family has been accused of using the Chaudhry Sugar Mills for money-laundering and illegal transfer of its shares.
