CHARSADDA: The district police today (Tuesday) have arrested four members of a gang, who were involved in several robberies.
According to details, the Shabqadar police station, acting on a tip-off, erected a barricade on a road and arrested the four members of the gang identified as Umar, Zeeshan, Saddam and Osama.
A police spokesperson informed that the arrested accused were wanted by the police in connection with several cases of robbery and other crimes. He added that the accused had confessed to their crimes during the preliminary investigation.
A case has been registered against the arrested accused under several provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code. The police have also recovered stolen cash, other valuables and illegal weapons from the possession of the arrested accused.
In another raid, SHO Shabqadar Shaid Khan on a tip-off arrested three drug peddlers identified as Nawab, Shah Faisal and Salem Jan. A total of 4200 grams of hashish was recovered from their possession.
