Karachi traffic police issued a traffic plan for the city during the three ICC Champions Trophy matches at the National Stadium today (Wednesday), February 21, and March 1 to facilitate the public and ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
According to the Traffic DIG, Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain open during the matches. Special parking arrangements have been made at the National Coaching Centre and China Ground for cricket fans.
Vehicles coming from Karsaz will be directed to these designated parking areas via the underpass.
Heavy traffic will be allowed on specific routes, including Sohrab Goth to Nipa, Liaquatabad No 10 to Hassan Square, and PP Chowrangi to University Road, according to the traffic plan for Karachi.
However, heavy vehicles will not be permitted on routes from Karsaz to the stadium, Millennium to New Town, and Stadium Signal to Hassan Square.
The public has been urged to cooperate with the police and law enforcement agencies to prevent any inconvenience.
“Do not park your car or motorbike on main roads or service lanes. Use only the designated parking areas,” the traffic plan states.
