A few days ago, news of the banned movie Pathaan being illegally screened somewhere in Karachi now Sindh Board of Films Censor (SBFC) has officially taken an action against it.
As we all know since February 2019, Pakistan has banned the screening of all Indian films amid border tensions between the countries. For “negatively depicting” Muslim and Pakistani.
Following this, the SBFC investigated social media pages that were selling tickets for private screenings of Pathaan after a report published in Dawn claimed illegal screenings at different venues in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority.

The board stated that a company called Fireworks Events was organizing a public screening of Pathaan at DHA on February 4 (today), with tickets already booked. It should be noted that SBFC allows only Board certified films for public or private viewing.
Meanwhile, Pathaan has crossed ₹700 crores at the worldwide gross box office. Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in lead roles. It was released on January 25.
According to Boxofficeindia.com, the film is on the way to becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time by the end of its second week.
