KARACHI: A teenager allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl in Moosa Colony area.
Police said the 16-year-old boy, whose identity was not revealed, was arrested for raping the daughter of his relatives in Moosa Colony. Police investigators said the accused boy was addicted to watching immoral content on his mobile phone. The accused managed to rape the minor girl in the absence of their family, police added.
Police collected DNA samples of the victim girl and the teenager. They said that the medical examination of the teenage boy will be conducted at Sindh Services Hospital to ascertain his age and a report will be receive in three days. The police added the accused has confessed to the crime and further action will be taken after receiving the DNA report and age determination report.
Earlier this month, it emerged that two employees of a private school allegedly raped a four-year-old minor boy and fled with the help of the school’s administration. Upon complaint of the boy’s father, police arrested both the accused who were identified by the minor victim. Both school employees are in police custody and an investigation is underway.
Director General Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Sindh Mansoob Siddiqui said that a team will visit the school in Gulistan-e-Jauhar to probe the incident.
Siddiqui said the team will meet with the school administration and the parents of the child and submit a report with the directorate. He added that action will be taken in light of the findings of the report.
