ISLAMABAD: Islamic Ideology Council has come forward to condemn the matter of presenting maiden ‘Hoor’ in Multan, on the eve of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
The meeting of the Islamic Ideological Council was chaired by Chairman Dr. Qibla Ayaz in which the members expressed their indignation over the process of presenting a girl as a ‘Hoor’ in Multan on the occasion of 12th Rabi-ul-Awal.
Moreover, the council said it was “very wrong” in Islam to portray women as maidens, and strongly opposed the Un Islamic measures in religious ceremonies.
Though, the Islamic Ideological Council also opposed the narration style of Naat, Marsiya, Qasida and Noha. The council also proposed setting a standard for the observance of religious rites and religious beliefs.
Meanwhile, earlier on the occasion of 12TH Rabi-ul-Awal, a girl was presented as a ‘Hoor’ in Agahi Chowk, Multan. Later, the video of the matter went viral and various social media users criticized the move and expressed their outrage on it.
