ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has pledged to take steps to root out the menace of terrorism and establish peace and order.
He expressed this resolve while talking to JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman after calling at his residence in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in the suicide attack on the workers’ convention of JUI-F in Khar, Bajaur.
PM Kakar also prayed for the departed souls and speedy recovery of the injured and said that terrorists cannot deter the nation’s resolve to eliminate the menace.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman extended felicitations to Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on assuming the charge of Caretaker Prime Minister.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori was also present in the meeting. The governor congratulated Kakar on assuming the post of caretaker prime minister and expressed his best wishes.

On the other hand, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar expressed the resolve to take necessary steps to increase foreign investment under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).Â
He was chairing different meetings pertaining to matters of various ministries. The prime minister also pledged the commitment of the caretaker setup to ensure continuity of the policies aimed at revamping the economy.
He said public welfare projects will continue without interruption. Regarding the health and education sectors, Kakar directed to ensure the availability of world-class facilities in these fields.
Regarding the tax and revenue sectors, the prime minister instructed to strictly implement the reforms in this regard to boost tax collection. Kakar said the caretaker setup will concentrate on the de-regulation process and independence for economic stability.
The prime minister was given a detailed briefing on the economic condition of the country, who sought a detailed report regarding the reform process in every department.
