ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will leave today to attend the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit in Uzbekistan.
According to the details, the caretaker prime minister will leave for Uzbekistan today to participate in the 2-day summit, the summit will continue from November 8 to 9, in which Anwarul Haq Kakar will represent Pakistan.
Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani said that Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar will attend the 2-day summit in Tashkent and reiterate Pakistan’s commitment to actions based on ECO’s Vision 2025.
Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani said that Pakistan would continue to play its role in promoting global cooperation in the areas of bilateral cooperation, trade, connectivity, tourism, productivity, and economic growth during the ECO Summit.
According to the Foreign Office, Kakar will also present the vision of Pakistan to the member countries for promoting mutual prosperity along with the future works of ECO and regional linkages.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that Anwarul Haq Kakar will also discuss bilateral relations with the heads of other countries participating in the meeting, including Uzbekistan, while Pakistan is one of the founding members of ECO.
