When asked whether Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervez Elahi will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chaudhry said the meeting was taking place today. “Many big changes are about to take place,” said the minister.
Earlier today, a delegation of senior lawmakers submitted the no-trust motion against Buzdar with Punjab Assembly Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti. The secretary said that the motion would be presented to the assembly speaker according to the rules and regulations.
“Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi will take action on the no-confidence motion and requisition notice in accordance with the Constitution and the law,” he said.
Later, PTI delegation led by Asad Umar and Shah Mehmood Qureshi reached out to Pervaiz Elahi. During the meeting, Asad Umar reportedly conveyed an important message of the prime minister to Pervaiz Elahi.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, Foreign Minister Qureshi said the talks were held in a good manner. Pervaiz Elahi hinted of ‘progress’ on the situation, while Moonis Elahi said the PML-Q had cordial relations with all sides, both individually and collectively.
