LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved the establishment of a University in Chakwal on Monday.
Chief Minister Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar, on Monday sanctioned the approval for establishing a new state-of-the-art university in the small town of Chakwal. The academic institution will be named as “The University of North Punjab.”
According to the sources, a bill has been proposed for the purpose of establishing a new educational institution and has already been decided to be placed in the meeting of the provincial cabinet for consideration.
The creation of the university in the town will facilitate students and academicians of the region to acquire knowledge by employing the latest tools and methods in the field of research in science and technology studies.
It will further make a new way for the learners to develop and improve their abilities and encourage research and development activities.
