Private airline Air Karachi has applied for a Regular Public Transport (RPT) license, an Urdu Daily reported on Tuesday.
As per the report, Air Karachi will soon start flight operations in the country as it has formally applied for an RPT license, and as per Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) sources, after approval from the federal government Director General of CAA would issue the license to the airline.
It should be noted that last year, Karachi’s business community announced the launch of its airline with the name of Air Karachi.
As per Businessman Hanif Gohar, the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan( SECP) has already registered the airline while the application has been submitted to the federal government for the license. He said that initially, the airline would acquire three airplanes on lease.
It should be noted that due to the worst situation of Pakistani International Airlines, the government wants to privatize it but so far no one is ready to buy it. Amid this situation, the businessmen of Karachi had announced introducing their private airline.
