Mashal Yousafzai, the spokesperson for Bushra Bibi, claimed on Thursday that during Shab e Barat, February 24, at least two to three drops of “toilet cleaning acid” were allegedly mixed into the food consumed by the wife of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.
Yousafzai made these claims during a segment on Geo Pakistan, stating, “We have discovered that two or three drops of toilet cleaning acid were introduced into Bushra Bibi’s Iftar meal.” She further elaborated that following the consumption of the contaminated meal, Bushra’s health began to deteriorate rapidly.
Before her detention, Yousafzai mentioned, Bushra Bibi did not suffer from any health issues such as high blood pressure or diabetes. “Since her detention, there has been a significant decline in Bushra Bibi’s health, indicating that something untoward might have occurred,” she expressed her concerns.
Yousafzai, who also serves as an advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, raised questions regarding the delay in conducting medical tests on Bushra, despite court directives spanning three weeks. She questioned the obstacles preventing the authorities from carrying out these tests.
Despite court orders, the former first lady was denied the opportunity for blood tests, even though the PTI suggested conducting them at Al-Shifa Hospital and cross-checking them at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Yousafzai revealed.
