The bullet-riddled body of a man was discovered in a bungalow located in Phase-4 of Khyaban Badar, Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi, a private TV channel reported on Monday.
As per SHO Darakhshan Irfan Asif, the deceased has been identified as Asif Latif, son of Muhammad Latif, and his body has been transferred to South City Hospital.
According to a statement from the bungalow’s security guard, Asif allegedly shot himself. “I was performing Isha prayer between 9:15 PM and 9:30 PM when I heard the gunshot,” the guard informed the police.
SHO Irfan Asif mentioned that the deceased, who was a transporter, leaves behind two daughters and a son. The Crime Scene Unit personnel are currently at the scene, gathering evidence related to the incident.
Police have stated that the nature of the incident, whether it was suicide or homicide, will be determined following further investigation. Additional details about the case are yet to be disclosed.
