MUZAFFARABAD: The budget of Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the financial year 23-2022 will be presented today.
According to details, Finance Minister Abdul Majid Khan will present the budget for the new financial year of Azad Kashmir. A cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has approved the budget.
The meeting also passed a resolution against the arrest and unjust punishment of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik. The meeting also announced one day salary for ministers and gazetted officers for the earthquake victims in Afghanistan. The meeting also strongly condemned the Indian Defense Minister’s threat to attack Azad Kashmir.

On the other hand, Indian state terrorism continues in occupied Kashmir, which has been strongly condemned by Pakistan. The Foreign Office spokesperson said that since August 5, 2019, since India’s illegal and unilateral measures, more than 636 Kashmiris have been martyred in fake encounters and so-called cordon and search operations. This year, 113 extrajudicial killings of Kashmiris were recorded.
He said that India should realize that brutal use of force against the Kashmiri people, extrajudicial killings, torture and killings in custody, enforced disappearances, imprisonment of Kashmiri leadership and youth, and other methods of subjugation had failed in the past.
