South Korean band BTS singer J-Hope is all set to begin his mandatory military service as recently he showed his buzz cut.
The 29-year-old rapper showed off his new look on Instagram and also shared a handwritten note in Korean which can be translated as “I’ll have a good trip!”

BTS member J-Hope, whose full name is Jung Ho-Seok is all set to begin his mandatory South Korean military service. The rapper recently posted a picture of himself in a buzz cut. The BTS members also said goodbye to his fans, the BTS army.
The band had cited exhaustion and the pressures of stratospheric success while dropping their bombshell hiatus announcement last year, saying they were taking a break to focus on their solo careers.

Analysts have questioned what the future holds for the group after all seven members complete their military service. Some male K-pop stars have struggled to resume their careers after military service in a cut-throat industry where artists are easily replaceable.
“During the absence, (BTS) could lose their public interest, and the decline in popularity will damage their business,” Lee Taek-gwang, a communications professor at Kyung Hee University, told AFP.
“It would not be easy for the boy band to reunite… this is not only the problem of BTS but also the problem of almost all (South Korean) boy bands and male celebrities.”
BTS is a South Korean boy band that has gained worldwide fame in recent years. The group consists of seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
BTS’s music is a blend of different genres, including K-pop, hip-hop, and R&B, and their lyrics often address themes such as mental health, self-love, and social commentary. The group has achieved significant commercial success and critical acclaim, breaking numerous records and winning multiple awards both in South Korea and internationally.
