London: Fahad Mustafa, a renowned actor from Pakistan’s entertainment industry, has received significant recognition from the British Parliament, becoming the first Pakistani actor to be honored with two prestigious awards from both houses of Parliament. The event, which was organized by Multicultural Britain, celebrated Fahad’s contributions to cultural exchange and global unity.
Fahad Mustafa was presented with the ‘Diverse City and Cultural Impact Award’ by Naz Shah in the House of Commons, and the ‘Global Cultural Unity Award’ by Lord Wajid Khan, the British Minister, in the House of Lords. These awards acknowledge Fahad’s efforts in bridging cultural divides and promoting diversity through his work in the entertainment industry.
The ceremony reflects the growing recognition of global talent and contributions to cultural diplomacy. Fahad Mustafa’s achievements in the Pakistani film and television industry have earned him admiration worldwide, and these awards further cement his place as a cultural ambassador.
It is worth noting that Fahad Mustafa’s recognition follows the recent honor bestowed upon actress Mahira Khan, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Parliament last month. Mahira Khan was invited to the Parliament by Afzal Khan, a Member of Parliament from the ruling party. The ceremony, held in the UK Parliament’s committee room, also saw Dr. Sara Naeem, wife of the Pakistani High Commissioner, in attendance.
In her speech, Mahira Khan expressed gratitude to all who supported her in her journey. Reflecting on her childhood, she recalled how her parents ensured she received equal education opportunities and instilled in her the values of love and striving for success. Mahira, who hails from a Pashtun family, shared her experience of studying abroad, which strengthened her resolve as a woman and professional.
Both Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan’s achievements highlight the growing recognition of Pakistani talent on the global stage, particularly in the realms of cinema and cultural diplomacy.
