SOUTHAMPTON: Cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has been sent into isolation over violating the social distancing protocol in England.
Hafeez, who is a part of the squad visiting England to play cricket series against the hosting country. A statement issued by the PCB said, “This morning, Mohammad Hafeez went to a golf course, which is adjacent to the team hotel and part of the bio-secure bubble. During the golf round, he was photographed with a member of the public, which he subsequently posted on his social media account.”
As per the PCB, the cricketer had breached the two-meter social distancing protocol, which can be clearly seen in the photograph. “Following a consultation process with the team doctor, the team management has decided to isolate him until he returns a negative COVID-19 test,” the board added.
